Apple has just deployed updates in beta version for different versions of iOS 15, iOS 16 and iOS 17. If the first two are also entitled to new features, it is above all because certain devices are not today not able to install the most recent version,arriving in September in final version. Indeed, Apple then decided not to support certain fairly old iPhones.

What's in the updates to iOS 17.4 and iPadOS 17.4 (RC)?
Note: the source code of iOS 17.4 is mostly common to that of iPadOS 17.4. We can therefore consider that the new features concern both operating systems.
The new beta version of iOS 17.4 which has just been released is the fifth, but it is the firstrelease candidate (RC). There can be two RCs. It is therefore possible that a next version in advanced version will still have to wait before the final arrives to the general public.
iOS 17.4 offers many different changes, one of which now allows you to download applications without going through the App Store. With this, Apple has added a widget dedicated to the Clock app to the iOS home screen. You can display a digital dial with the time of the city of your choice; an ideal format for travelers and other Sunday nomads. Bug fixes
- the error which displayed an inability to connect to iTunes, within the App Store, has been corrected
- a technical issue has been resolved for third-party browsers (learn more)
- Live video from HomeKit cameras works properly again when you leave your home
- within the Messages app, it's the end for “stickers” which were not displayed well
- THEidentification keysbeen blocked on certain websites, but that's now history
The end of default reactions
iOS 17.4 (RC) release notesalso specify that developers of video apps (like Zoom or Whereby) now have the possibility ofdisable “reactions”which are triggered automatically according to the gestures of your interlocutor. Previously, these were available by default.
Concretely, this is rather good news. The update should therefore make it possible to avoid this kind of rather comical hiccup:

iOS 16.7.6 (RC)
Updating to iOS 16.7.6probably brings improvements dedicated to thesecurityequipped devices. It is strongly recommended to perform the installation as soon as it is offered, because not only have bugs surely been corrected, but Apple may also have closed major flaws, some of which could have been exploited by hackers.
iOS 15.8.2 (RC)
The principle is the same for the RC beta version of iOS 15.8.2 as for iOS 16.7.6 (RC); we couldn't get our hands on the release notes either. We therefore also assume thatbugs have been fixedand that the new version closes security gaps.
How to update your iPhone to a beta version of iOS?
The procedure to install beta version 17.4 of iOS is similar tothe one defined for iOS 16 previously.
As a reminder, this operation is not recommended on the iPhone that you use on a daily basis, or which is reserved for potential emergency calls. Choose an old model or one that you don't need, as updating may cause technical problems that will not be resolved immediately by the developer.
