Instead of the notch, Apple chose the Dynamic Island to sit at the top of theiPhone 14 Proand iPhone 14 Pro Max. This little “pill” comes to life according to the different actions of iOS 16, and makes the double punch that is actually hiding in the background more comfortable. And the least we can say is that the design is particularly successful: even during screenshots, this interface element is displayed just when it is needed.
We were therefore logically entitled to ask ourselves what is happening in modeEasy access. For novices, know that this is the option that allows you toreach the top of your iPhone screen if it is too far from your thumb. The software is then reduced to a sufficient size, but until now we did not know how the Dynamic Island would support such a solution. It is now done.
Like clockwork
As we can see in the following images, with iOS 16 the Dynamic Island therefore remains installed at the top of the screen, even when Easy Access mode is activated and the interface is moved down. THErest of the display is then complete, without the space between the time and the battery in the status bar being darkened.
On iOS 16.1 it does move with reachability and works like it would usually! Weird that this wasn’t straight from 16pic.twitter.com/Vklsy58YAp

But that was without counting on the first beta version of iOS 16.1, just released. Indeed, with this one the behavior of the Dynamic Island is even different. Here,I go down to pillsas well with the rest of the interface, including all the information displayed between the TrueDepth sensor and the FaceTime camera. However, a black space installed in the original location of the island remains present.
More changes on the way
