The connected watch market is currently dominated by the Apple Watch, Apple is well ahead of the competition with its different models which are each enriched with new features. For example, an electrocardiogram and fall detection in the Apple Watch Series 4.
However, competitors are gradually trying to catch up with the sector leader, by adopting a different look which takes up the traditional round shape.
There is, however, a Chinese brand, Xiaomi, which has made no secret of drawing strong inspiration from Apple products for several years. One of its subsidiaries, Huami, has just unveiled a connected watch, which looks exactly like an Apple Watch Series 4.
The Huami Amazfit GTS has a design similar to the Apple Watch, and even the watch faces and complications have an air of déjà vu. In particular, the Modular Infograph or Analog Activity dial.
Looking from the side, we see some differences, notably the positioning and size of the dial or Digital Crown, which is located in the middle and is smaller in size.
This watch has a 1.65-inch AMOLED screen and weighs 24.8 grams with a thickness of 9.4mm, thinner and lighter than the Apple Watch Series 4.

It also has a GPS chip, Bluetooth 5.0, NFC and a heart rate monitoring sensor. There is one feature where it beats the Apple Watch hands down, and that is the announced battery life of 14 days without using GPS, or 25 hours with GPS.
The Amazfit GTS is available for pre-order in China with six colors, for a price of 900 yuan, or around 114 euros.
