As Apple's big back-to-school event quickly approaches, the most reliable analyst in the Apple universe delivers his last-minute predictions.
Ming-Chi Kuo has just published a new report, which contains several interesting information, some of which is new. He mentions achange of connections for the new iPad Pros. It also addresses the case ofl’Apple Watch Series 4, and aEntry-level MacBook.
According to the analyst, Apple could replace the Lightning jack,via USB-C connectionin the new iPad Pros. These new models would feature the Face ID of the iPhonenew 18W USB-C chargermore powerful.
The portLightning and wired charging at 5Wwould bemaintained for the new iPhones, which goes against other rumors on this subject.
Concerning the Apple Watch Series 4, he confirms that the new model would displaythinner borders, and would integrate aelectrocardiogram.
There is also mention of the use of aceramic back for all models, instead of the glass used on models currently lacking 4G/LTE connectivity.
The analyst also suggests that Apple would soon launch anew entry-level MacBook, which could replace the 12-inch MacBook in the range. This new MacBook couldembed Touch ID, but not the Touch Bar.
Finally, Ming-Chi Kuo finishes his report on the next version ofAirPods and the AirPower charger. These two products should be releasedby the end of the year.
