In test: The Lenco BTS-110 wireless speaker for iPhone and smartphone (Bluetooth speaker)

The speaker offer
portable for use with an iPhone, iPad or smartphone incorporating a battery
has grown significantly in recent years. We were able to test and
appreciate
a short time ago the “Music Angel Friendz” in this article
.
We really liked it but it had one drawback, that of not being
Bluetooth and therefore having to be connected to the iPhone for its
utilisation.

So we wanted to see anotherwireless modelas
for example the portable speaker from the Lenco brand: the
"BTS-110".

Elleis available in several colorsannounced as
able to deliver3 hours of music(actually she does better)
with its integrated amp and battery.

Here are our impressions following the test of this colorful and wireless speaker.
wire, to share your music from any smartphone or tablet
equipped with Bluetooth but also for making hands-free calls to

Presentation

The Bluetooth speaker is delivered in original packaging leaving
perfectly see its design, it matches its color:

AndUSB cableis provided, it will be used for recharging. A
pouch for storageand an accompanying notice
the whole.

The medium-sized speaker (6 x 6 cm and 8 cm in height) holds
perfectly in the hand and is not bulky, even if it is more
whatthat
recently tested here
as you can see in a photo
below.

It is made of thick plastic which seems very resistant to
shocks and scratches. On top, a grille lets the sound from above pass through
speaker while protecting it. On the lower part, a series of buttons
is arranged around the perimeter.

A switch located underneath is used to turn the speaker on/off,
the buttons accessible on the side allow you to manage listening: pause,
front/back. Input and output jack sockets are also provided.
We finally see a small orifice, those who are more familiar with it will recognize the
presence of amicro, a function that will prove very useful
to use the speaker during phone calls.

Utilisation

The speaker, as noted, is wireless and uses a connection
bluetooth to transmit music and any sound (alert, conversation
telephone) from an iPhone or other smartphone. During the first
use, you must make the connection with the iPhone, this is done
from the Bluetooth settings and only takes a few seconds to complete.
detect the speaker. A flashing blue light indicates that Bluetooth is
in progress.

Then, every time the speaker is turned on, the iPhone sound is
redirected to it. Switching is fast and does not pose any problems.
problems.

During use, we appreciated the weight (253 g) of the whole thing being very
well distributed and the presence below of a rubber part which in addition to the
stability, helps to avoid possible vibrations. Result, once installed,
the speaker is very stable.

The sound quality appeared very good and the maximum sound volume (3 watts)
more than enough for an average-sized bedroom or room. During
listening, the buttons placed around the speaker allow you to
switch from one track to another(Front / Back) or to put the
music inpause: there is therefore no need
to reach the iPhone (or iPad) used to stream the music. We don't
regrets that the absence of a sound volume adjustment on the speaker
herself.

Beyond music, the speaker also allows you tocall
while having your hands free
, thanks to an integrated microphone. The sound for
the interlocutor and for the user turned out to be clear and comfortable.
Practical and enjoyable.

Regarding autonomy, I admit to being (positively) surprised. In
effect, although it has not been thoroughly tested continuously, the 3 hours
autonomy announced (much less than a wired speaker) were happily
exceeded (more than 4 hours)

As for charging, good point, it's a standard mini USB cable
which is supplied, the kind of cable which if it is lost is found everywhere,
easily and inexpensively while many smartphones (except the iPhone
…) and accessories are also compatible, rather practical so as not to
take 50 different cables on a trip.

Conclusion

Here is a speaker
space-saving, practical and rather pretty which perfectly fulfills its
function: proposemusic everywhere, wirelessly
paw
. We also appreciate being able to use it ashigh
wireless speaker during phone calls
. The use and
connection with an iPhone posed no problem regarding autonomy, it gave us
pleasantly surprised, this is rarely the case. The price appears instead
reasonable and the additional cost linked to a wireless system is largely justified by
the associated practical aspect:
