Next May 7the event will take placeLet Loose d’Apple, the opportunity for the Apple firm to present its new iPads. Rumor has it that Apple could also preview its M4 chip there. It would be implemented initially on iPad Pro, before MacBook Pro,a first in the history of the apple.
It was also planned that Tim Cook would not announce artificial intelligence until June, during WWDC 2024, but this could ultimately take place earlier than expected.
AI announcements next Tuesday?
While doubt has been hovering over this subject for several weeks, the Washington Post has come to set the record straight. The newspaper states thatyes, announcements regarding artificial intelligence will be madeby Apple during the Let Loose event on TuesdayMay 7. According to the Washington Post:
Apple CEO Tim Cook is expected to hint at the new AI features next week and unveil them at the company's Worldwide Developers Conference in June.
A link with the M4?
The upstream presentation of the M4 chip on the iPad Pro, before the MacBook Pro, could havea connection with AI. Maybe Apple will offerexclusive AI features that will be reserved for M4 chips. Integrating it now into the iPad Pro could be a smart choice from Apple.
In this regard, we recently addressed the subject of local artificial intelligence (directly on the device), withmore specific features. Apple seems to be leaning more towards this approach, rather than more general models, like ChatGPT.
Is it a tablet or a computer?
The iPad Pro 2024is obviously this year’s darling. In addition to benefiting first from the M4 chip, it will be the first Apple device other than iPhoneto benefit from an OLED screen. Enough to put most computers on the market, including MacBooks, to shame.
