- The Nokia G22 costs 179 euros
- Its screen and battery are easily repairable
- Diagonal: 6.5 inches
At the time whenSustainable development issues are increasingly impacting major brands, it is now almost obligatory for them to regularly propose progress in this area. In this context, Nokia has just unveiled the G22, a smartphone whose battery can be replaced in just a few minutes.iFixitdid the test: indeed, it would take on average less than an hour to carry out the operation. Let us also recall that theautonomyis the main feature of our mobiles that loses the most level over time.
As another key advantage, the new Nokia G22 features a100% recycled plastic back cover. For comparison, today's high-end iPhones have a glass back that allows for inductive (wireless) charging. But the base price is far from coming close to matching our protagonist of the day, since the G22 only costs 179 euros. This is a much more affordable price than the 559 euros of the iPhone SE 3 with 64 GB of internal storage, also with 4 GB of RAM under the hood but without the option with 256 GB of storage.
An easy-to-replace screen
As a bonus, the new Nokia G22 also has a panel that would taketwenty minutesto be replaced. So of course, these are above all the figures put forward by the manufacturer, and not everyone will perhaps get there as quickly, nevertheless this presents itself as a clear differentiating element compared to mobile phones whose slab is welded to the chassis and impossible to separate.

In terms of technical specifications, the Nokia G22 is entitled to an LCD display with a refresh rate of 90 Hz with a maximum brightness of 500 nits, compared to 625 nits for the third generation iPhone SE. The diagonal, however, is much more imposing:6.5 inches, almost as much as an iPhone 14 Pro Max. But the definition is limited to Full HD and not 2K as with Apple, which drastically limits the pixel density. In short, you will probably be able to detect them with the naked eye.
Devices produced in Europe!
Beyond the materials, we know that the very organization of the assembly circuit is essential to guarantee a certain positive impact of production on the environment. And it turns out that Nokia has just announced that its smartphones will soon be produced in Europe. As the firm sells many units there, this could ultimatelyreduce greenhouse gas emissionsgreenhouses linked to the transport of packages. In addition, this is an effective way of putting less strain on Asian factories, which are often singled out for their harsh working conditions by organizations monitoring respect for human rights.
At the same time,Nokia also changed its logo.
