First support for Camera Continuity on Mac

At the launch of macOS Ventura, Craig Federighi (Apple CTO) presented Camera Continuity. This new functionality, which will be available in the fall with the new version of the operating system, allows you toswap the computer's FaceTime camera for your iPhone's sensor, so as to obtain better image quality.

To do this, Apple has unveiled a white support which allows you to clip the mobile to your MacBook in the blink of an eye. This one, however, is notnot yet availableand we do not know what its price will be or when it will be released precisely, but Belkin is announced as a partner. So a smart guy had fun creating an alternative with his own three-dimensional printer.

Homemade

Jonathan Wight published images of his prototype on Twitter, which quickly went viral among the Apple community. He iscompatible with MacBook Pro and iMac Pro, and the plans were publicly available until recently in order to reproduce the design at home. Unfortunately, these models have since been deleted but you can still enjoy a superb candy catapult from the same talent:

Oh but of course there is.https://t.co/R7csFIh1HT pic.twitter.com/vf4b50XUej

It's impossible to guess why Wight's concept is no longer online, but it's not uncommon to see Apple crack down on this kind of demonstration to protect its own items. The list of companies that will be able to create official alternatives is probably hand-picked; we also hope to see certifications distributedMFifor safety.
