The ever greener apple: 100% of Apple's physical locations covered by renewable energy

It was a goal in sight for
Tim Cook, namely, the use of 100% green energypar
Apple facilities around the world. And this figure has now been
reached, this is in any case what the firm communicated to Apple ago
a few days ago. Thanks to different sources of electricity production
non-polluting, including solar, but also wind, the Californian company
can now boast of having100% of its electricity needs
covered by renewable energy
. Apple subcontractors
must now follow suit, which is already the case for several of them
them :

It is therefore thanks tosignificant investmentscarried out
by the Cupertino company in recent years in the installation of power stations
of green electricity production that this objective was able to be achieved in 2018.
We remember that
last year
, Lisa Jackson, vice-president of the environment section
and social initiatives at Apple, announced a 96% usage rate
green energy for society.

The latter does not intend to stop there. After having already
invested in more than twenty non-polluting power plants across the
world, there are 15 other major projects which are currently in progress
development, which would bring the total energy produced by all these
Apple installations at 1.4 gigawatts.

About it,
as seen here
, it would not be impossible for Apple to even become
electricity supplier, in order to dispose of the surplus and at the same time
opportunity, reap some profits.

Finally, ideally, Apple would like suppliers to follow this
green energy strategy, and therefore pushes them in this direction. And it pays off, because
more than twenty subcontractors have already made efforts in this
ecological optics, such as Biel Crystal Manufactory, Sunwoda Electronic and
Compal Electronics, but also Quanta Computer, Pegatron and Finisar.
