Apple and TSMC prepare for the future together

Why change a winning team? For years, TSMC has been Apple's main processor supplier and this is not about to change. As the apple brand prepares to switch to3 nm engraving technology, TSMC remains the number 1 choice to ensure the production of these new chips.

According to recent information from DigiTimes, Apple has reserved nearly 90% of the TSMC production line, solely for its 3nm chips which will equip the nextiPhone 15 Pro. Still according to DigiTimes, this new XXL order allowed the Taiwanese foundry to continue its double-digit growth.

TSMC and Apple: alone in the world

At the center of all attention, the A17 Bionic processor which should see the light of day. With unprecedented 3nm engraving technology, Apple hopes to see the performance of its devices increased tenfold by this technical progress. The Apple brand knows that this development can allow it to win new customers and thus further establish its domination over the rest of the market.

On the TSMC side, the development of 3nm engraving technology places the Taiwanese company in a monopoly situation. Indeed, no other company is capable of competing with the company's level of precision and production. Alone in the world, TSMC can fill its address book and ensure global production of high-end computer chips.

M3: Apple's bet

In addition to the A17 chip which will be present in the iPhone 15 Pro, Apple should use 3nm technology tothe M3 chip. Present in Macs and iPads, the latter will once again allow you to gain power while saving energy for the same task.

Already impressive with the M1 chip in 2020 and the M2 chip last year, Apple continues to dominate the laptop market, although demand is at an all-time low. The Cupertino company hopes that a technological relaunch on these machines will generate new interest among consumers, nothing less certain.
