Apple lists cameras and routers compatible with the new HomeKit features in iOS 13

iOS 13.2 recently introduced several expected new HomeKit features, HomeKit Secure Video and support for HomeKit routers. You still need to find products compatible with these new HomeKit features.

Apple has just putthe page on its website, which lists all HomeKit-compatible devices and accessories. For now, theLogitech Circle 2 cameraEastthe only one to support HomeKit Secure Video.

However, the Apple site mentions the eufyCam 2, the eufyCam 2C, theindoor cameraetexterior of Netatmoand the Robin Proline connected doorbell, as the next products to integrate HomeKit Secure Video.

As a reminder, HomeKit Secure Video allows the user to enjoy videos recorded by the HomeKit accessory, directly in iCloud.

HomeKit automatically uploads videos from the last 10 days to Apple's cloud, with end-to-end encryption. This means that no one, not even Apple, can see the content.

The first routers to support HomeKit will be, according to Apple's page, routersEeroetEero Pro, as well as theLinksys Velop Wi-Fi system.

Routers that support HomeKit can monitor HomeKit-connected devices and see which ones are communicating with each other. The user can also limit links between devices and isolate objects connected to each other behind a firewall, to prevent some from transmitting too private information to others.
