iPhone 12: to keep up the pace Foxconn is recruiting at all costs

Last September, we already returned to thefrantic pacesof Foxconn, Apple's supplier, for the manufacture of the iPhone 12 in China. Since then, the pace has not slowed down and rather the opposite is happening. According to the mediaSouth China Morning Post, the company is in the process of hiring staff en masse.

Production never stops

For its Zhengzhou factory, a center ensures the recruitment of 2,000 candidates per day. They arrive early in the morning from different parts of the country. Once the presentations are made, they are then at work in the afternoon. These giant iPhone assembly lines operate 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

To motivate staff, Foxconn is promising an increase in salary and a bonus of $1,500 if a new employee works at least 55 days over the next three months. This massive arrival of workers would even create effects in Zhengzhou where the atmosphere is very lively. This contrasts with certain other Chinese cities where there is a shortage of young people.

While Chinese production was severely disrupted at the start of the pandemic, factories in the Middle Kingdom therefore seemregain their superb, while other countries are still particularly affected by the health crisis.
