Apple's video streaming service is offering, from today until April 22, for free, a video capture of a play: “12 Angry men… And Women, The Weight of the Wait”. This is exclusive content, and for good reason, it was filmed at Apple Park, in the Steve Jobs Theater, a place known to the general public for having been the scene of Apple conferences, before the coronavirus pandemic.

The troupe from the Billie Holiday Theater in Brooklyn, New York, therefore performed this play exclusively for Apple TV+, in the premises of the Californian giant, a performance captured, therefore, to integrate the catalog of the in-house streaming service.
For 4 weeks, Apple TV+ subscribers and non-subscribers will be able to enjoy this program, telling stories from the bestselling book (available here on Amazon)“12 Angry Men: True Stories of Being a Black Man in America Today”signLani Guinierand published in 2012. Different portraits of characters are drawn up in the latter to deal in a deep and gripping manner with the issue of racism in the United States and that of police violence, two subjects which regularly make the headlines across the Atlantic.
The version of the play available on Aplple TV+ is not the same as the one that some spectators have already seen on YouTube, which also has its own video recording of the tragedy. Apple thought it would be good to add a new story, that of Breonna Taylor, shot and killed on March 13, 2020 by police officers in Louisville, Kentucky.
Art in all its forms on the one hand and equal rights and the fight against racism on the other, these are two points that Apple always defends ardently and this new Apple TV+ proposal is the perfect illustration.
It is also a question of thefirst theatrical performance performed at Apple Park. The latter had been the location of an inauguration concertin 2019while the Steve Jobs Theater has already welcomed musicians, including the now very famous singer Billie Eilish.
The play "12 Angry men... And Women, The Weight of the Wait" should beavailable for free, for everyone therefore, in the TV app on iPhone and iPad, but also on Apple TV for 30 days.
And don't missour schedule for the next big Apple TV+ releases.
