Apple could introduce two new Macs at WWDC

Apple invited the whole world tothiseditionWWDC 2023. Like last year, the conference will largely focus on software developments made by the Apple brand. But as in 2022, hardware announcements should also be there.

In his latest report on the subject, journalist Mark Gurman explains that two new Mac models are expected for Monday evening. It would be an evolution of the Mac Studio and the MacBook Air as far as the desktop computer is concerned, it should be equipped with an M2 Ultra chip.

For the MacBook Air, Gurman follows previous rumors and mentions a new design witha 15 inch screen. The latter should be entitled to an M2 Max chip. It would then become the most powerful model in its category. Apple has already updated this device in the past, notably during the previous edition of WWDC.

For the occasion, the Apple brand presented the M2 chip. This year should not mark the arrival at the forefront of a new chip, but Apple should focus on developments of its already existing technology with the M2 chip. The M3 evolution would be expected later in the year.

Mac Studio: the last minute surprise

Apple could, again according to information from Mark Gurman, update its Mac Studio during this new edition of WWDC. The Apple brand would then take a big risk by making the border even more blurred between the Mac Studio (new generation) and the hypothetical Mac Pro which should be released within a few months.

Apple has always announced that the transition to Apple Silicon chips would take place within a few months, but almost three years after the start of this historic change, the Mac Pro still has not been updated. According to information from Mark Gurman, it should be there by the end of the year.
