iOS 12 post-release update
With theversion 12 d’iOS, Apple has brought many new features to the iPhone and iPad. See in particular here ourlist of more than 65 new iOS 12 features. Among them, there is a fairly discreet one, which concerns the weather. The iPhone operating system can indeedautomatically display today's weatheron the locked screen
Rather practical and pleasant. But …
There existstwo or three things to knowon this addition made by iOS 12, so that the weather forecast is displayed correctly every morning.
Discovery of the configuration to put in place to benefit from it:
Today's weather is only displayed when the deviceexits “Do not disturb” mode, in the morning when you wake up. But that's not all, it is also imperative thatthe “Sleep” option is activated.
By going toSettings>Do not disturb, it is possible to program “Do not disturb” mode so that it starts automatically. You must then make sure to check the option “Sleep“.
One last element must be checked for the day's weather to be displayed. It is indeed necessary to ensure that thebackground locationfor the appWeather reportis set to “Always“.
To do this, go toSettings > Privacy > Location Services. On this page, choose the option “Always” for the Weather app.
From now on, every time the device exits “Do not disturb” mode, it will display the upcoming weather for the day on the lock screen.
Who has activated it or plans to do so?
