The iOS 12 App Store will (finally) suggest more relevant apps

With iOS 11, Apple has
completely
reviewed the App Store
with a new interface, a redesign of the tabs,
and above all a big emphasis on editorial content via a new tab
"Today" which offers new apps, games, tips, and
advice.

And under iOS 12, the Apple firm continues to perfect the new App
Store by suggesting in particularmore relevant applications for
each user
according to different criteria.

More specifically, the Today tab goes in addition to editorial selections
recommend apps and gamesdepending on what
the user has already downloaded in the App Store. It is
a practice that already exists on other platforms such as Amazon.

The “Game of the Day” and “App of the Day” cards will not benot necessarily
listed in the same order
for all users, for example a
user who downloads a lot of games will see the
“Game of the Day” before the other cards.

Selections from previous days will now be in one game
called "Not to be missed", it only includes some content from the
days gone bybut not all.

The new App Store introduced by iOS 11 has had
a positive impact on discovery and downloads
d’applications,
and with iOS 12, the App Store recommendations will be refined based on
user habits and preferences, which should be
beneficial for users and app publishers.

What do you think of the App Store in iOS 11 and upcoming customizations
with iOS 12?
