If Apple wanted to impress people, it succeeded. During the keynote this Tuesday evening, the Apple brand launched its new Mac Studio, a desktop computer which looks very similar in appearance to the Mac Mini, but which is much more powerful than the latter.
Let us first note that it is equipped with an Apple M1 Max chip, and a new processor refined by the Apple brand's teams: the M1 Ultra. The latter literally sells dreams judging by the performances displayed.

Thus, this chip has a memory bandwidth of 800 Gbps and is equipped with 128 GB of RAM. This technological gem also includes a 20-core processor, 16 of which are high-performance, and a 64-core GPU. With all these capabilities, Apple does not hesitate to say: the M1 Ultra is eight times faster than the M1 present on the Mac Mini, but also more efficient than previous high-end Mac Pros!
We also note that the new Mac Studio integrates four Thunderbolt 4 ports on the back, two USB-A ports, and an Ethernet port. Finally an HDMI and an audio jack are present, as well as Wi-FI 6 support and Bluetooth.
Concerning the price of this new desktop computer, it starts at 2299 euros and goes up to9199 euros including all options. This new Mac Studio is available for pre-order now. It will be released on Friday March 18.
