It's now official: the next call between Apple and its investors to discuss its financial results for the period spanning July to September is planned. This will take place on ThursdayOctober 27at 2 p.m. on the west coast of the United States, so midnight here. The same day the exact turnover of the firm will be specified according to each sector of activity, via a press release of which we will keep you informed.
Apple's revenues are thus separated into five main categories. The most prolific in recent years is that ofiPhone, which should once again be powered by the quartet of new models announced earlier this month. Next come services (24% of the total in the second quarter of 2022) then wearables, the latter being mainly represented by Apple Watch and AirPods. Finally, it is Macs and iPads that bring up the rear.
What to expect?
During the last 90 days, we have therefore been able to discover several mobiles including the iPhone 14 Pro and the iPhone 14 Pro Max which would sell very well according to initial estimates. The devices could have already been sold several timestens of millions of units, thus generating a turnover perhaps up by several points compared to the third quarter of 2021.
But these smartphones only arrived a few days ago, while two laptops presented at the Worldwide Developer Conference in June were able to take several months to find a buyer. This is theMacBook Air M2 and MacBook Pro M2, both powered by new high-flying proprietary chips. At several thousand euros per unit, these products should confirm the score of Macs at least equal to that of iPads in terms of profits.
The annoying questions
The call with investors will also be an opportunity for Tim Cook andLuca Maestri (financial director)to answer questions from major shareholders, particularly on matters of production and confidentiality.
