The App Store and its forty-one billion dollars in profits in the first half of 2021 are not to be outdone.

When it comes to deciding on the consequences ofrecent verdict from the Californian court, some of which are in favor of Epic Games, Apple believes that an immediate implementation of the judgment represents a serious danger for its activities. More precisely, allowing users to pay for subscriptions without going through the App Store control system would expose them to serious security and confidentiality risks.

Reuters, who was able to consult the arguments filed at the end of last week by Apple, makes it clear that this is a vehemence relating to real direct means of paying without going through iOS. The company's complaints are in fact more moderate when it simply involves informing Internet users that an external payment solution exists. But is there a real difference, when we know that in practice only a millisecond separates these two solutions?
