Apple Watch saves cyclist's life in England

There are dozens of stories about people who came very close to a tragedy and were able to avoid it with their Apple Watch. We can no longer count the number of people that the watch warns at the first sign of a heart attack, a drop in blood pressure or other health problems that only medical examinations could have detected.

But more simply, having an Apple Watch allows an isolated person in danger to very quickly call for help or loved ones. This is what happened a few days ago to an English cyclist. The latter was caught in the heavy floods which hit the country and, while he was driving along the edge of a river, the level of the latter quickly rose before sweeping him away.

While the man was pushed for more than a kilometer by the current, he finally managed to cling to a branch and stop his crazy descent into the river bed.

While remaining firmly clinging to his tree, the English cyclist managed to contact emergency services using his Apple Watch. The latter was then located by the team who went looking for him, and this is how the man returned home safely.

According to Mr. Bailey, in charge of coordinating the rescue, the man spent around twenty minutes clinging to the branch, while the current swept over him. “It's very surprising that he didn't lose his grip to be honest,” even admitted the man who initiated the rescue.

Unusual stories around the Apple Watch have become commonplace, but show the full strength of the Apple Watch which knows how to respond to very specific and urgent needs in situations where human lives are at stake.

In this case again, the presence of the Apple watch made it possible to give a happy ending to this story.
