Apple TV apps now listed in the iPhone, iPad App Store

Until yesterday, to know if an application was
available on the new Apple TV, there was only one way: consult
the Apple TV app store. Not necessarily practical and fast... But good
news, Apple has just added information to the iTunes files in order to
specify the compatibility of apps with tvOS.

tvOS is a brand new operating system despite its iOS inspiration,
and you can still feel it. While the applications are now 2400 to
have been developed for the Apple TV, (some being compatible with
iPhone and iPad), it is not possible to list them or search among
the catalog elsewhere than on television.

But little by little, we are progressing. So now, on Mac, iPhone or iPad,
when an application can be used on Apple TV, an "Apple TV" line with
“Yes” lets you know that what you are buying is also tvOS compatible.
This looks like the field proposed for Apple Watch compatibility, we can
imagine that the translations will be updated to find a Yes in
place of Yes that appeared last night.

This is an interesting first step to discover more easily what is
available on the Apple TV, but what's still missing is a way to
discover Apple TV applications from your computer, as with the App
iOS Store, i.e.with different categoriesaccording to
the device, iPhone, iPad, and perhaps soon Apple TV.

Apple is slowly but surely improving the use of tvOS: the firm
