After the MacBook Pro M4, Apple is already preparing the sequel

Apple just presented the new MacBook Pros with an M4 chip a few days ago. If the design changes are minor, the public has rather well received these new computers, announced as much more powerful by Apple compared to previous generations.

The Cupertino company would nevertheless not have finished withles MacBook Pro. The day after this announcement, analyst Ross Young ensures that another generation is already in development. According to him, it should see the light of day in 2026 at the earliest. This version ofMacBook Pro could be radically different.

Switching to OLED

Among the changes announced by Ross Young, Apple would have planned to switch from mini-LED technology to OLED. The analyst, a specialist in Apple's screen supply chain, seems very well placed to give us this information. He also predicts that future 14- and 16-inch MacBook Pros will be thinner.

Apple reportedly plans to reuse the same technology as the iPad Pro released earlier this year. The Apple brand then managed to gain a few millimeters in thickness, making the iPad Pro the thinnest tablet ever produced by Apple. This information, initially provided by Ross Young, was today confirmed by the journalist from the Bloomberg news agency, Mark Gurman.

The iPhone will have a “Slim” version, the MacBook Pro too

In the latest edition of his newsletter, Power On, Gurman explains that a “radically different” “thinner and shinier” MacBook Pro should arrive in “a few years” without giving further details. The journalist had already mentioned in the past Apple's work which aims to reduce the thickness of the brand's products.

On this same point, Apple could release next Septemberun iPhone « Slim », deliberately thinner than other products from the apple brand. Although its existence is still to be proven, this phone could be the surprise of the next school year.
