In all likelihood, Apple could renew all of its touch tablet ranges in March. This is what journalist Mark Gurman once again affirms. But this is, ultimately, nothing really surprising. And for good reason: at Apple, we tend to present new models every year – or almost – for each collection. However, since January 2023, no announcement of this type has taken place. We can assume that the crisis, which has already forced the Apple firm to increase its prices, has nothing to do with it.
Among the new products on the way for the next quarter, Gurman is banking on the arrival of a sixth generation iPad Air. Unsurprisingly, if this device is indeed announced during this period, it will probably be with the M2 chip under the hood. This is already present on certain Apple laptops; MacBook Pros and MacBook Airs.
iPad mini 7 and iPad 11
With this, our source of the day assumes that apotential iPad minicould also see the light of day soon. As a reminder, the sixth generation was entitled to a completely revisited design. The next one could repeat the codes very frankly, with most of the improvements on the software and performance side. An A16 Bionic chip is notably mentioned by the specialist press, with a proprietary design like the M2.
For the most restricted budgets, Apple would also have the eleventh generation of its basic iPad in the works. This model is larger than the iPad mini, however the technical sheet turns out to be less powerful – on paper. We know that the range, moreover, is already the most popular in the world. And there is almost no doubt that the new version will confirm this success very soon.
No keynote?
With iPads, iPad Airs and iPad minis, Apple should finally unveil iPad Pros next year –with a better screen. However, it is not certain that the four collections will be presented at the same time.
In any case, regarding the models presented in March, we should expect a simple press release – rather than a keynote. This is generally Cupertino's preferred mode of communication for this period.
