The release of the all-new iPhone 16 has reshuffled the cards when it comes to the iPhone catalog. Apple has notably decided to abandon certain old models. The big losers are therefore the iPhone 13, iPhone 15 Pro and the 15 Pro Max which are no longer marketed by the Apple brand as of today.
Please note, this does not mean that the phones are no longer available for sale. It will still be possible to find new ones from third-party resellers until stocks last. After that, you will have to turn to the second-hand market with used devices or recondition them.
The end of the marketing of these three models by Apple should nevertheless have a positive consequence for users. Indeed, Apple sets a “reference” price for its iPhones. Without the presence of this pricing, the market of supply and demand takes over. In the coming months, the price of the iPhone 13, 15 Pro and Pro Max should therefore drop considerably.
What's left at Apple?
On the Cupertino side, the Apple online store is far from empty. In addition to the 4 iPhone 16s which have just been presented this week, Apple is still marketing an iPhone SE. It is Apple's most affordable smartphone to date. It is sold from529€.
Then we find the iPhone 14 and 15, sold respectively at the price of749€ et869€. Newer and more expensive, the iPhone 16s are sold from969€. The Pro and Pro Max models are1229 € et 1449 €.
All 4 iPhone 16 models will be available for pre-order starting Friday. The first deliveries should take place from September 20. To find out all the changes made by Apple on these models, you can findour summary of the “It’s Glowtime” conference here.
