Bouygues Telecom is generally a restrained operator. It only lowers prices when its Free or SFR counterparts attack. This return to school was, however, an exception: it is the only ISP to have offered fiber for less than 10 euros per month. This price level is extremely rare, we must have seen it only a few times in the last 5 years.
This offer which targets the Bbox Fit only lasts until this Tuesday evening. It allows you to have fiber (if you are eligible) with a speed of 400 Mb/s for downloading and sending. Bouygues Telecom is also adding a telephony section with unlimited calls to landlines. For this pack, you will have to pay 9.99 euros per month for the first year – instead of 30.99 euros. This offer contains a 12-month commitment, after which the price returns to normal.
Over the first year, the real saving amounts to more than 250 euros. But in addition, you have the right to all the premium service of the ISP. Starting with the “guaranteed internet from day one” option which allows you to have an internet connection right after subscribing. While waiting for your internet box, Bouygues Telecom will send you a first 100 GB 4G key which will allow you to last the first few days.
Best value for money among internet boxes according toLemon squeezer, the Bbox Fit at 9.99 euros is an excellent choice. If you only want one internet connection, the speed displayed will be more than sufficient for a household of several people. If you now have a more general expectation with a triple-play formula (or even additional accessories), you will have to look elsewhere.
Dual play, triple play ?
The Bbox Fit detailed above is called “dual play”: it includes internet and a telephone part. In recent years, the popularity of triple-play formulas has been increasing sharply. The main difference of the latter is that it includes a TV dimension. Today, most users favor this solution to receive a decoder in their offer and access to numerous channels.
Still at Bouygues Telecom, the start of the school year has some good news: the Bbox Must, which is a triple-play formula, is also at an advantageous price. You can get a fiber speed of 1 Gb/s for downloading, unlimited calls to landlines and mobiles and 180 TV channels (with a decoder) for 15.99 euros per month. You have to be aware of the savings: it's 300 euros over the first year compared to the base rate (40.99 euros per month).
The Bbox Fit and Must will only cost you a pittance in the first year – the only time you are hired by the ISP. At the end of this period, you have the choice between canceling your internet subscription or extending it with it.
