We announced his arrival earlier today, and it's now official. Through a press release, Apple has just lifted the veil on a new MacBook Pro with a 16-inch screen with thin borders, and with a new keyboard that is more reliable than previous generations.
Apple's new laptop features a 16-inch Retina screen, offering a definition of 3072×1920, a resolution of 226 ppi and a maximum brightness of 500 nits.
We can also mention a Magic Keyboard, which uses a new scissor mechanism, and not the “butterfly” keyboard of older machines which caused a certain number of problems among a significant number of users. Apple also announces a better typing sensation on this keyboard with a stroke of 1 mm.
Another important point of the keyboard, the famous Esc key reappears and is logically located to the far left of the Touch Bar.

The fingerprint sensor or Touch ID is now offset a little to the right of the Touch Bar, and the arrow keys are shaped like an inverted T.

More power
Power-wise, it integrates an Intel Core i9 processor, with up to 8 cores and 16 threads of processing power. This allows this machine to achieve up to 2.1 times the performance of a quad-core MacBook Pro.
Apple has revised the thermal architecture to allow this machine to maintain higher performance for longer. Apple puts forward improvement figures of 28% increased airflow and 35% greater heat dissipation.
The amount of RAM also increases, since it is possible to increase up to 64 GB of DDR4 memory, for better multitasking efficiency, but not only that.
The graphics are powered by an AMD Radeon Pro 5000M series GPU (optional 8GB GDDR6 VRAM), delivering more than twice the performance of the previous generation base model.
Better sound and increased battery life
For the audio part, the new MacBook Pro has six speakers and two force-canceling woofers which provide better quality stereo sound. There are also three “studio quality” microphones.
The storage capacity can go up to 8TB of SSD, but this comes at a certain price. Finally, Apple announces a better autonomy of 11 hours thanks to the 100 Wh lithium-polymer battery.
It is available today on the Apple online store from 2699 euros, a price which can rise to 7139 euros in maximum configuration.
