Google and Samsung will share their patents for 10 years

GoogleetSamsungare
privileged partners for several years since the Korean manufacturer does not
mainly offers Android smartphones and tablets.

We know it,SamsungetAppleare engaged in a long-standing legal battle over
about patents with in particular aunprecedented conviction in
favor of Apple
. THEtwo
competitors should soon talk to each other
and, the least we
can say is that the bases of this reflection have just been somewhat
modified:

Indeed, Samsung and Google have just signed a global agreement on their
patent portfolios by granting a reciprocal license on a broad
range of technologies and sectors of activity.

This agreement covers not only existing patents but also those that
will be filed over the next 10 years, even if no information on
its exact content has not been revealed.

If of course, the two companies are pleased to now be able to
focus on innovation while putting aside possible disputes between them,
we can only draw an obvious parallel with the trials between Samsung and
Apple.

With such agreement,SamsungetGooglestrengthen their immediate positionmore if
givemore ways to counterApple
in possible litigation for the next 10 years
.
