Apple's iCloud servers soon to be powered by solar energy?

In order to be able to store its new online services likeiCloudorSiri, Apple built a
giganticData Centerin North Carolina that we had
already mentionedin this
billet
.

To power its center, Apple uses nuclear power plants and
coal, which does not give it a very ecological image.

However, Apple had already purchased land of 174 acres (approximately 700,000 m2) from
alongside that of the Data Center which could have made it possible to double the capacity
current of its center:

But, according to a building permit filed with Catawba town hall, Apple
would instead consider building a solar power plant to power its
data center.

We do not yet know what size the future plant will be or the number
of solar panels that Apple plans to install but we can see a new
times the Apple “method” which consists of controlling everything.

Indeed, if the Cupertino company takes an appreciable ecological turn
by supplying your data center with clean energy, you certainly need to consider
also Apple's desire to have its own source of energy that will not depend
therefore not from another company.
