iOS 13.2 has been available since last night for participants in the public beta program, which includesseveral important changes and new features, especially for iPhone 11 and iPhone 11 Pro withthe arrival of Deep Fusion.
The surprise of this iOS 13.2 beta is the discovery in the iOS files of an icon which would represent the next and third generation of AirPods. The particularity of these new AirPods isin-ear, or with a tip that goes into the ear.
This type of headphones does not appeal to everyone, however it allows for better isolation from external noise. Lines of code in iOS 13.2 also suggest that these new AirPods would be equipped with aactive noise reduction system.
More precisely, there would be two listening modes, with or without active noise reduction, the latter is called “focus mode” in the iOS files.
This is not the first time that we have heard of a future version of AirPods equipped with active noise reduction, the American newspaper Bloomberg affirmed last year and at the beginning of the year that Apple was working on this project.
Apple could keep two models in the catalog, a more expensive premium version of the AirPods with active noise reduction, and the traditional AirPods 2 (cheaper).
Apple could have another event in October, withseveral new products expected, and it is not impossible that these new AirPods will slip into the batch of future announcements.
