Anyway, while the new MacBook Pros are doing well, some of the older ones seem to be suffering from an increasingly common problem. According to the American magazineForbes, some users have reporteddisplay anomaly on their MacBook Pro. This defect, already known and nicknamed “Dustgate“, seems to affect more and more people. What's the problem?
Owners who have been affected by this issue describe vertical purple lines appearing on the screen when the screen is opened at a certain angle. Technician Stephan Steins from the repair shopNotebookNerdsreported that “Dustgate” was “a common incident» and that he and his team received “several per week”.

More precisely, the anomaly would come from the flexible cable connecting the screen to the body of the Mac. The latter will accumulate dust and ultimately this will cause deterioration of the cable.
