Facebook maintains more than ever the CAP while affirming that it will "no other choice" than to comply with changes in the confidentiality rules provided on iOS 14. As a reminder, as part of this update, Apple wishes to install an option to deactivate behavior monitoring by application publishers and inform users about these practices. Some developers have since stand up against this measure and this is the case with Facebook.

The Mark Zuckerberg firm has just sent an email to advertisers. On the merits, the web giant always deplores this project which will have "problematic repercussions in terms of targeting, optimization and measurement of the effectiveness of an advertising campaign for companies on mobile devices and the web».
Facebook specifies: "We believe that personalized advertisements and user confidentiality can coexist.However, the company plans to comply with the new rules so as not to risk being deleted from the App Store.

The ball is now in the Apple camp which has decided to delay the release of this functionality in order to give developers time to prepare. However, it should intervene soon.
