Two of the main low-cost operators have just revisited their offer in France. Sosh now offers a 5G mobile plan for less than 25 euros per month, while Free offers an option at 2.99 euros per month to add 5 GB of data to its “2 euros” subscription. But B&You and RED by SFR are in ambush, and these new products are notnot always the most interestingin comparison: here's what you need to know.
Sosh: 140 GB for 20.99 euros per month
To begin with, Sosh has just launchedits first 5G mobile plan, offering an internet envelope of 140 GB for 20.99 euros per month without commitment. With this subscription, SMS, MMS and calls are of course unlimited, all on the Orange network, one of the best equipped in France. For travel, 25 GB can be used in the European Union and in the overseas departments, the flow being debited beyond this limit but with the purchase of a recharge possible.
Good to know, however: even today,5G is far from covering the entire territoryon the old continent. It is therefore better to check the eligibility of your city before subscribing. If in metropolises you will encounter few problems, the antennas could on the other hand be lacking in rural areas. In this case, 4G will take over: at Orange, Sosh's parent company, this standard is today available to 99% of the population.
For comparison, B&You also offers a 5G subscription but for only 15.99 euros per month with 130 GB of data, a much better quality/price ratio on paper, therefore.
Free: a new 5 GB option at 2.99 euros per month
Free, for its part, has been offering amobile plan at 2 euros per monthonly for two hours of calls, unlimited SMS and MMS as well as 50 MB of mobile data usable in France and abroad, without commitment. And recently, subscribers who exceed this quota (it's not difficult) are entitled to a5 GB recharge for 2.99 euros per month.
This therefore increases the total bill to 4.99 euros per month for 5.05 GB. For comparison, at B&You (on the Bouygues Télécom network) the 5 GB offer is also offered for 4.99 euros per month, without commitment. On the other hand, at RED by SFR 6 GB are available for this same price.
