Apple just launched its new updates yesterday, including macOS Sequoia. Available on a large number of devices, this update notably allows access tothe new Password application. In addition to these changes visible to the user, Apple took advantage of this update to make numerous security fixes.
In total, 76 modifications were made by Apple. If this figure may seem enormous, it is completely normal. Apple has never released so many fixes on a single update in its recent history. It is possible to find the complete list of these changes on the pagesecurity updates from Apple.
What's new with macOS Sequoia?
As we said above, the arrival of macOS Sequoia adds many features to users. In addition to the Password application which we have already talked about, the big arrival of the year is undoubtedly Apple intelligence. However, this option is only available forMacs equipped with an M1 chipor more recent (November 2020 at least).
Apple has also revised a lot of things in the applicationSafari. The Cupertino company has notably added “Highlights” to its browser. This option summarizes an article or web page in a few key points with the help of artificial intelligence. Still linked to Safari, Apple has developed a “distraction-free” mode which intelligently deletes advertisements.
Another little new feature that should have an effect, the Calendar and Reminders applications on your Mac now communicate with each other. If you notice something in one, it will also show in the other. A way to group these two very close applications around a common functionality.
