Various journalists and YouTubers have already tested the new foldable smartphone from Samsung Galaxy Fold. But several of them encountered some problems with it. This led to theofficial reportof the launch of its Galaxy Fold, at a date still undetermined.
During a conference with Korean media, DJ Koh, the big boss of Samsung, spoke about the delay of their first flexible smartphone, the Galaxy Fold.
“It was an embarrassing moment. I rushed my teams to release it before it was completely finished” said the CEO of Samsung. He apologizes for releasing the Galaxy Fold too early, before all the tests had been carried out.
“I must admit that I lacked judgment regarding the flexible smartphone, but we are in the recovery phase. We are currently testing over 2000 devices in all possible scenarios.”
The Samsung CEO also says that the flexible smartphone is just a phase, which will only last a few years. With 5G and connected objects, he envisages a decline in the importance of the smartphone in everyday life.
Asked about a release date for the Galaxy Fold, he replied that “will arrive in due time. Give us a little more time.”
Originally, the Galaxy Fold was scheduled to be released on April 26 in the United States and May 3 in France, for a price of 2020 euros. Samsung has postponed the release of the smartphone indefinitely until the issues with the screen are resolved.
