The benchmarks are
these computer tests that we pass to all the machines in order to
be able to compare their performances.
So obviously, it's often very theoretical and a little abstruse, but that
allows you toget an idea of relative performanceof the
machines, whether in the face of competition or in the face of generations
previous ones.
So here are the results for the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus equipped with the A8 processor
fresh from Apple's foundry factories:
Directed by
iMore, the "Geekbench 3" test shows that theiPhone 6 and 6 Plus are
15% faster than iPhone 5s. This is a much smaller increase.
than the jump that there was between the iPhone 5 and 5s (50% more). The reason seems
linked to the leap provided by the transition last year to a 64 architecture
bits.
Otherwise, in terms of comparisons, you will find two different ones
below.
The first is "single core", while the second uses both
processor cores.
Compared to Samsung Galaxy S5 or MotorolaMotorola Moto
X, the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus show much higher scores, while the
two devices compared to each other are quite close in terms of performance and
as we have seen, the iPhone 5s is also very close:
- Single-core tests:
- Dual-core tests:
All of this remains once again very theoretical and requires testing in
real conditions to be confirmed, we are working on it!
