If you didn't know,Apple chose iOS to run its new external monitor. Unveiled during the last keynote, the device does not allow the software to be used directly but uses it in the background. It appears to be a program identical to that which powers iPods and mobiles of the same brand.
However, it turns out that on iPhoneusers all find themselves unable to roll back after an update. This is because Cupertino clearly blocks the return to previous versions. Officially, the reasons for this choice are unclear but everything suggests that this is a way to quickly adopt new features, in addition to always guaranteeing the best level ofsecuritypossible (flaws are corrected almost every time).
Oops !
WheniOS 15.4 hit the market in mid-March, it is logical that Studio Display was also entitled to it. But very quickly it was iOS 15.4.1 which took over, except that this time the version for the screen intended for Macs was not deployed at the same time. However, Apple quicklyprevented the installation of iOS 15.4.
The problem is that this update had indeed been offered to buyers of the twenty-seven-inch panel via a dedicated notification. It was therefore enough for a few latecomers to consult it a little later to see themselves displayed aerror messagemaking manipulation impossible. And this, without immediate explanation from the publisher.
The solution is available
Many customers therefore complained as best as possible by contacting Apple directly from the forums dedicated to this purpose. It then took only a short time for the West Coast firm to react:the update to iOS 15.4 is available again on the Studio Display.
It is likely that this mishap is due to an internal error, but Apple's technical teams have not officially justified themselves. At least the problem was resolved for everyone and as quickly as possible.
