Just a month ago, Apple announced that it would stop manufacturing the HomePod smart speaker (our complete technical sheet). Some time previously, the classic model had in fact been joined by an edition calledmini, more compact and above all less expensive. Because this is probably where the big version failed to find its audience: a price that was too high in the face of fierce competition.
Indeed, whether from historic manufacturers like Bose and Sony or more recent ones such as Sonos, the sound quality is often better for a more accessible price and more compatible voice assistants like that of Google and that of Amazon. Despite everything, Apple's alternative probably remainsmost suitable for iPhone, with unique features for iOS devices.

Today you have to pay329 eurosto get the HomePod - the first of its name - on the official Apple website. An amount reduced by twenty euros compared to that displayed at the launch. Two colors are available: space gray or white. As for AppleCare+ insurance to protect the speaker against accidental damage for two years, it costs forty-five euros.
Note also that, as we can read below, it seems that the items sold at the moment come from the same batch as thosereleased in 2018. It is difficult to know if this is also the case for the versions intended for the French market, but if this is the case then some collectors could decide to invest in the object.
