WWDC gets off to a flying start withthe traditional Keynote. On this occasion, Apple did not fail to present the new features that will be present on its next operating systems and an improvement of certain applications and services. We were thus able to see some improvements onFaceTime.
A new option allows you to create a single-use email address
Far from stopping there, the Cupertino company also showed a set of new features on iCloud, called iCloud Plus. This offer is available to current subscribers at no additional cost. It includes access toa VPN, called Private Relay, which will go through two relays to hide your navigation and the origin of the data.
Unlimited storage for home security cameras that are compatible with HomeKit is also planned. This is real progress because you currently have to pay for at least 200 GB of iCloud storage to save videos, and opt for a higher tier if you want to support streaming.
We also note the “Hide My Email” option which allows you to create single-use email addresses which will then be transferred to your real account. This can especially be used in cases where you need to provide an email to a service you don't trust.
Finally, the Cupertino company intends to make it easier to manage your iCloud account and recover it. An option allows you to send security codes to your loved ones if your device is lost.
