IKEA Place available in France: to arrange your home in Augmented Reality: on iPhone and iPad

Since the arrival of iOS 11, as seen
in this
dossier
many apps use ARKit to offer
augmented reality features that are more or less useful, here is one that
was not yet available in France until now.

L’appIKEA Placefrom the Swedish manufacturer of flat-pack furniture
montage has just been released on the French App Store, which allows
users to try the different objects andIKEA furniture in
augmented reality
at their home.

The app works very simply, just scan the room where
the user will try the different pieces of furniture, then simply
select an object from the IKEA catalog and place it in the right place
desired through the iPhone camera.

This allows the user to realize the real size of a
furniture in its environment and if it goes well with the rest of the decoration
indoor.

It is possible to take a photo of the furniture in the environment to
send it for example to a loved one and get their opinion.

A rather useful app that will make it easier to choose what purchases to make online
or during your next visit to an IKEA store.

It is available free of charge oniPhone et iPad.
