IniOS 11, out of concern for privacy, Apple will
fully give users power over how apps
can track their geographic location.
In fact, the Cupertino company willimpose the option "When the app
is active"to apps that request access to geographic location
of the user, which was not the case before.
Before iOS 11, apps that requested access to the location service,
had the choice of offering two to three options, namely "Always",
"When the app is active", and "Never", but many apps like Uber
only offered continuous monitoring even when the app is not
active.
There are many apps like Google Maps, Facebook and many others that
already offer this option, but it will be mandatory with iOS 11.
In addition, this should also contribute to extending the autonomy of
the device if the location service is no longer permanently requested by
some apps.
