It isat the end of March that Apple began testing the next version of iOS 12, and since no less than 5 “beta” versions ofiOS 12.3had succeeded each other. The latest one isreleased this week, just a few days ago.
So we didn't expect to see it happennews before next week at best, even being able to anticipate an upcoming release.
But surprise! Last night, anew version iOS 12.3 beta 6was delivered first to developers, then opened to participants in the public beta test program immediately. While Apple generally favors the beginning of the week for its beta version releases, the arrivalon a Friday eveningis surprising and can have two origins:
The first could be linked to an urgent bug that could not wait all weekend. But nothing was noticed in the community a priori.
Or second hypothesis,the release of iOS 12.3 in general public version is close and a final beta was necessary before a launch perhaps next week.
This will probably be before the holding of thenext WWDC 2019 conferenceearly June, during which it will be the turn ofiOS 13to be presented and proposed to beta testers.
