The next iOS update is following regular development again recently, with, a week after the publication of the third beta, the arrival of beta 4.
For a few hours have been available, for developers registered in the beta test program, iOS 13.5 beta 4, iPadOS 13.5 beta 4 and watchOS 6.25 beta 4.
What's new?
This fourth beta of iOS/iPadOS 13.5 does not bring major changes. It was the previous beta version which brought its share of new features, hence possibly the change in number from 13.4.5 to 13.5 in the middle of the beta testing phase, something rather unusual at the time. Here are some of the improvements seen in iOS 13.5 beta 3, and now 4:
- new COVID-19 exposure notification API
- security patch for the Mail app,for a flaw described here
- possibility ofdisable face zoom in FaceTime
- quick switch from Face ID to unlock codeif wearing a mask
In addition, note that the previous beta versions of iOS 13.4.5 also brought some new features, particularly to the Apple Music app, with easy sharing of your listening via Facebook and Instagram.
Notice to users registered in the developer beta test program, have you installed one of these new beta versions? What do you think are the most significant changes, if any?
