iOS 14 beta 2 (developers) is available: what's new?

Apple yesterday made the second beta version of iOS 14 available to developers, two weeks after the release of the first beta.

What changes with iOS 14 beta 2?

This new beta brings several notable changes, here they are:

• Update and audio: iOS does not agree to update if audio is playing. If this is the case, a message appears when the user wants to update their device, warning of the impossibility of updating the device
• Calendar: new icon for the app with the day truncated instead of being displayed in full

• Reminders: the widget shows a task in addition to the number of tasks

• Files: new widget that allows access to recently opened files
• Apple Music and animated cover: new setting allowing you to deactivate animated covers or limit their display and only display them when the iPhone is connected via Wi-Fi
• Apple Music and haptic feedback: Haptic feedback occurs when pressing the play, pause, fast forward and rewind buttons
• Watch: change for the icon, the hands are bigger

• Press paper: a notification alerts the user when pasting to specify which device the copied text comes from
• Settings: new icons in the Phone section of settings
• HomePod: possibility to choose the default streaming service. Until now, for example, you had to ask Siri for the name of a song and specify the desired streaming service.

• App Library: it is now possible to delete an application from the App Library directly
• Wi-Fi security warning: iOS warns the user when the iPhone connects to a non-private Wi-Fi network
• Family sharing: new icon for the Family Sharing feature in the Settings app
• Polices: more access possible for third-party apps to configure fonts
• Location service: a sticker is displayed indicating on the screen when an app uses the Location Service

• Picture in picture: new “medium” size for the video window, in addition to small and large
• Control center: shows applications that have recently accessed the microphone or camera
