Apple has just released the first beta of iOS 17.1. If the update mainly focuses on bug resolution, it brings some new features to users. This is particularly the case forAirDrop. The service will thus be entitled to new functionalities, using the Internet.
But Apple also has changes planned for its flashlight. The latter now has a small icon on the iPhone 14 Pro and 15. These models arethe only ones to have Dynamic Island. The flashlight uses this software advancement from Apple to find a place on the black background.
The icon thus appears on the Dynamic Island when the lamp is on. The feature was already available in iOS 17 for the iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max. After a week of exclusivity, users of the brand's most premium phones will therefore be joined by this year's "classic" and "Plus" models in addition to the two high-end versions of the iPhone 14.
iOS 17: no big changes ?
With the arrivald’iOS 17, many users expected the Apple brand to present new features, which would not have been announced last June by Tim Cook's teams. But the Cupertino company would not have made that choice.
This year would be seen in California as a “transition” allowing Apple developers to work on fixing bugs and improving the overall user experience. The idea is not to offer new features, but to make a difference with what already exists.
In a word, optimization is in order for Apple this year. The Cupertino company wants to consolidate the foundations of its OS before going further in the development of the latter and the addition of new features.
