Apple presented its new iPhone 15 Pro at the beginning of last September. Almost two months later, a new feature has just appeared iniOS 17.2 beta code. The update, which should be available to the general public in December, now allows you to shoot videos in “spatial” mode.
This new functionality should notably introduce the Apple Vision Pro, the release of which is still planned for the beginning of next year. Apple's Vision Pro will be the only product capable of playing these “spatial” videos in 3D. For people who already have the beta on theiriPhone 15 Pro,it is already possible to access this functionality.

Simply activate it in the iPhone settings by following this path:Settings>Camera>Formats>Spatial video for Apple Vision Pro.Be careful though. Using a beta version of iOS is not without danger and the functionality has only just arrived, so it may encounter several bugs and other video capture issues.
Space videos, exclusive to Vision Pro
According to the information and tests carried out so far by 9to5Mac, taking a “spatial” video is done at 1080p with 30 frames per second. The weight of this new type of file would be 130MB per minute of video. Playback of these videos is still possible on the iPhone 15 Pro in their classic 2D format.
For 3D reading you will have to wait until the first months of 2024 and the marketing, initially in the United States, of the Vision Pro. Apple's mixed reality headset is to date the only product capable of playing these videos in 3D.A new version, cheaper, headset would be under development in Cupertino.
