Apple has just released a new update for its iPhones, iOS 17.4.1. If it does not bring new features to the Apple brand's phones, this update corrects several bugs and “patches” security vulnerabilities.
Updating your iPhone is child's play, you still need to know how to go about it. To install a new software update, the easiest way is to go to the“Settings”of the iPhone. Once in the application, you must openthe “General” sectionthen the subsection“Software update”.
A screen should then appear with the update to download (as below). If instead of this screen your iPhone tells you that your device is up to date, this means that the update was carried out automatically.

It is also possible that your iPhone, if it is old, is not eligible for iOS 17. You can find the list of iPhones eligible for this updatein this article on our site. If so, you can still make updates, but they won't be the same.
What should I do if my iPhone is not eligible for iOS 17?
Indeed, Apple always offers updates to its users, even those who do not use iOS 17. The Apple brand has thus published iOS 16.7.7. This update, which does not add any new functionality to iPhones, does however retaina maximum level of security, thereby protecting user activity from prying eyes and cybercriminals.
To install iOS 16.7.7, the procedure is the same as for iOS 17.4.1. Simply go to the “Settings” application then in the “General” section and finally click on “Software Update”.
