With theWorldwide Developer Conference, Apple announced several new features forVisual search, the system that identifies what the camera is filming. We could already use it to recognize plants or domestic animals, but the range of possibilities offered by the update to iOS 17 widens further. Here are the different changes that await you with this version, only available in beta version for the moment but released in final version this fall.

To begin with, it turns out thatVisual searchalso now knows how to recognize what you eat. It is enough to bring the iPhone camera closer to a dish so that otherssimilar recipesare offered by iOS 17, with information such as preparation time or number of portions. A link then redirects to the site hosting the recipe, to follow it if necessary.

This feature, which was discreet during WWDC but was later detected by users, could prove very useful for the visually impaired or simply for those who are new to driving.
