You probably remember the presentationiPad Pro M4 on May 7, 2024. Apple then unveiled its new high-end tablets, the first Apple devices with a “large” screen to benefit from an OLED screen. This display technology was until now reserved for the iPhone and Apple Watch. An advance which had eclipsed the rest of the improvements, such as the arrival of the M4 chip or the new photo module.
A few months later, in July 2024, first rumors regarding the next generation of iPad Pro were already surfacing thanks toleaking multiple identifiers, but we were only given few details.
Today, a new report comes to tell us a little more about these future iPads. If you were hoping for a revolution, you may be disappointed because according to the latest leaks, the 2025 iPad Pros are only expected to receive minor upgrades, with a size change that comes as no surprise.

The report focuses more on component suppliers than technical specifications. He notably mentions the possibility for the South Korean company LX Semicon to provide the display drivers for future iPad Pros. Information which mainly informs us about the production schedule, withstart of parts manufacturing planned for April or May 2025.
An M5 chip as the only real novelty?

The only notable change expected would therefore bethe integration of an M5 chip, replacing the current M4. A logical development but one which should not revolutionize the user experience, as the iPad Pro M4 is already a racing beast. Bloomberg's Mark Gurman estimates that Apple could have its M5 chip ready by late 2025 or early 2026.
In the meantime, other iPads could also see the light of day this year, likea new iPad Airetan iPad 11 equipped with an A17 Pro processor and 8 GB of RAMpour supporter Apple Intelligence.
Only the iPad mini, which benefited from a significant overhaul last year with the addition of the A17 Pro chip, should skip an update in 2025. A logical absence given the pace of renewal more slow of this compact model.
