iPhone 15 Pro: it will hurt the wallet (even more than the 14 Pro)

Next September, the iPhone 15 should appear on the market in different versions. And like every year, there is great anticipation over the prices of the new range.

Today, various information sources seem to agree on the prices of the next generation Pro and Pro Max models.

How much does it cost to get an iPhone 15?

The Cupertino company certainly likes to put the web in suspense when it comes to the launch of a new iPhone range. This year Apple is no exception to the rule by keeping total secrecy regarding the release of its new product.

Enough to ignite the web and give many more or less reliable specialists the opportunity to spread rumors. While the next Keynotefast approaching, information is becoming concrete regarding the amount of the Pro and Pro Max versions.

As a reminder, the iPhone 14 Pro starts at $999 in the United States, and €1,329 in France. According to a recent report published by DigiTimes, the 15 Pro could cost $100 to $200 more than its predecessor when it was introduced to the market. The price would therefore be between $1,099 to $1,199. In France, one would expect an opening price inclusivebetween €1,400 and €1,500.

The iPhone 14 Pro Max starts at $1,099 in the USA, and €1,479 in France and its successor should, according to DigiTimes, be worth between $1,199 and $1,299 across the Atlantic. And by following the logic of the different pricing policies practiced by the apple firm on the old continent, we could foresee a starting price of around€1,600 in France. Never seen before...

This further corroborates aprevious reportaccording to which the following prices should be expected in France:

  • iPhone 15 : 1 019 € (idem iPhone 14)
  • iPhone 15 Plus : 1 169 € (idem iPhone 14 Plus)
  • iPhone 15 Pro: €1,439 (€1,329 for the 14 Pro)
  • iPhone 15 Pro Max: €1,589 (€1,479 for the 14 Pro Max)

Why raising the price is not such a bad strategy

We might think that inflating the price is not a good idea and could prevent many buyers from purchasing the most high-end models. However, the target audience with these versions, Pro Max in particular, is obviously not the same as that targeted with entry-level or mid-range models.

While it may initially seem counterintuitive, for those looking to purchase the more expensive model, the higher the price, the greater the perceived value, and the gratification that comes with it. And this last point should not be neglected. There would be in the purchase of the high-end product, the fact ofwanting to stand out from all those who turn to the cheapest versions. Apple knows how to feed this desire.
