iPhone 6 and Sapphire glass: numbers that speak volumes

We guess it
Apple has had big plans for glass for a while now
in Sapphire crystal, particularly for the screen of its futureiPhone 6.

We already know that the firm
Californian company has enough to produce 100 to 200 million 5-inch screens, with
astock reserve
around 3 years. Today, it is the official supplier GT Advanced
Technologies which confirm by announcing figures which speak for themselves
long :

The manufacturer of Sapphire crystal glass, to whombelongs
the Arizona plant, has just communicated its financial results and its
forecasts for the coming year.

While the company's turnover is estimated at 290 million for
2013, no less than 600 to 800 million are expected for 2014.
Furthermore, the manufacturer specifies that 80% of this figure will be achieved through sales
of Sapphire crystal glass and that85% of these would be
carried out during the second half of 2014.

Obviously, we can easily make the connection with the beginning of
production in the coming weeks for sales coinciding with the
launch of theiPhone 6whose screen should
precisely be manufactured with this promising component and whichwill arrive
so most certainly in the second part of the year.

The company also recalled that it appreciates having Apple as
preferred partner and customer for the production of crystal glass
Saphir and even estimates that its turnover should exceed one billion
dollars and 2015.

Of course, Apple has not confirmed anything but it must be recognized that the
many pieces of the puzzle leave less and less doubt as to
the integration of 'synthetic Sapphire crystal' glass into its products and
especially for the screen of theiPhone 6.
